作者简介 朱华，男，安徽潜山人，四川师范大学旅游学院教授，旅行社管理系主任，硕士研究生导师，历任四川导游资格考试评委、四川省十佳导游大赛评委和成都市十佳外语导游大赛主任评委。1988年出国，出访英国、法国、埃及、肯尼亚和西亚诸国。2002年引进英国、澳大利亚原版教材，教授旅游学基本原理和旅游案例分析，从事旅游基础理论和旅游企业管理研究，致力于弘扬中国旅游文化，研究、介绍国外旅游前沿理论，取得一批国家、省级教学科研成果，其中国家级成果四项：主持国家双语教学示范课程《旅游学概论》一门、出版“普通高等教育‘十一五’国家级规划教材“三部。
在国内外学习工作期间，多次参加国际学术会议，参与和主持四川省教育厅、世界银行等国内外科研和金融机构资助项目十余项。在《旅游学刊》、《国际经济合作》等全国重要学术期刊上发表“乡村旅游利益主体研究——以成都市红砂村观光旅游为例”等学术论文二十余篇，其中15篇独立完成，CSSCI收录。现已出版旅游著作2部、旅游教材8部，其中3部为“普通高等教育‘十一五’国家级规划教材”。主要著作有：《四川导游》、《旅游学概论》、《四川旅游景点与文化》、《英语导游实务教程》、《英语导游听说教程》、《西南旅游英文基础教程》等。

序言 《英语导游实务教程》（第二版）是教育部“普通高等教育‘十一五’国家级规划教材”，旨在传授英语导游业务知识，熟悉导游服务规范，解决导游带团工作中可能遇到的各种问题，培养导游运用英语带团的实际工作能力，帮助旅游院校学生考取英语导游证，为我国培养一批具有旅游专业知识、通晓一门外语的优秀导游人才。
教程体例新颖，内容翔实，“宽”“专”结合。“宽”是指重视导游基础知识学习，包括中国历史文化、民族风情、宗教信仰、自然科学等普及性知识的学习；“专”是指学习导游专业知识，强化导游人员专业技能和操作能力的训练，如导游服务规范、导游应变能力、旅游景点讲解、导游情景对话等。
根据我国英语导游培养标准和旅行社对导游带团基本能力的要求，教材主要编写内容如下：
·导游实务 熟悉导游服务规范，培养导游应变能力。全书有40多个导游应变能力训练题.着重拓展和训练导游带团的实际工作能力。
·导游文化、介绍我国多个民族的历史文化，熟悉他们的宗教信仰、民族风情、生活习性等，学习藏文化、彝文化、羌文化、苗文化等少数民族文化。
·景点讲解掌握我国主要旅游省、市、自治区的旅游景点知识，要求学生通过导游模拟训练进行情景对话和景点讲解。
·讲解方法学习导游基本讲解方法，提高学生景点讲解的能力，包括突出重点法、虚实结合法、制造悬念法、画龙点睛法等十余种景点讲解方法。
·旅游写作。旨在培养导游“动口”能力的同时，培养导游的“动手”能力，主要有旅游信函、旅游合同协议、导游线路设计、各种旅行表格等。
《英语导游实务教程》适用于高等旅游院校旅游英语、导游英语、旅游英语口语等课程的教学，也适用于高等职业技术学院和旅游职中导游专业的英语教学。根据教学单位反馈意见，借修订之际，笔者对本书教学内容和体例做了修改，以便进一步提高教学质量，为我国培养具有国际视野的高素质英语导游人才，尽快实现我国从旅游大国到旅游强国的战略目标。

The leader of the Five Sacred Mountains, Mount Taishan is located in the center of Shandong Province. It epitomizes splendid Chinese culture and was listed in the World Natural and Cultural Heritage List of UNESCO in 1987.
In ancient times, the first thing for an emperor to do on ascending to the throne was to climb Mount Taishan and pray to heaven and earth or their ancestors. It was said that 72 emperors of different dynasties made pilgrimages to this mountain. These special ceremonies and sacrifices earned the mountain widespread fame.
There are four ascents of the mountain.
East Route
This route is considered to be the Imperial Route because the emperors all took this way to make sacrifices. With elegant natural scenery, palaces, stone inscriptions are also scattered along the winding path. Dai Temple is the place where emperors stayed and offered their sacrifices. The temple was built in the Han Dynasty and expanded in the Tang and Song dynasties. After several renovations, it has become the biggest and most complete temple on the mountain.
West Route
The west route is made up of two parts. The first part is the highroad from the Heaven and Earth Square to the Mid-heaven Gate. The other part is the cable way from the Mid-heaven Gate to the top of the mountain. This route is well equipped with modem facilities and is the most fashionable way to reach the Jade Emperor Summit.
Peach Blossom Valley Route
This route is the most convenient way to climb the mountain, especially for tourists who drive or take a bus from northern places. Peach Blossom Valley can be accessed by taking the No.104 national highway, then setting off from the big parking lot by bus to the cable-car stop. From there you reach the top in a few minutes. The ropeway is designed for sightseeing from the air giving a clear view.
