iPhone sound use .caf (Core Audio Format) as the file format, to convert .mp3 or .wav format to .caf. We can simply convert the file to .aif and then rename it to .caf, and iTune can convert all audio files to .aif file format:

import audio files to iTunein iTune preferences, Advanced->Importing->Import using: AIFF Encoder.right click on the audio files -> Convert Selection to AIFFright click on the newly created files -> Show in Finder?rename the file from .aif to .caf?
