地图题和功能图可参照《向雅思流程图说YES》一书进行准备，重点看新旧城区对比的SAMPLE 17&18及相应范文，功能图可参考SAMPLE 30及其范文(注：以上SAMPLE编号是针对正版书的编号，盗版书的编号略有不同，盗版少一些真题和范文。希望大家能使用正版，如果只有网络盗版来不及买正版的同学，地图题可以先看盗版的SAMPLE 16解燃眉之急，功能图盗版只有2009年以前的题目但仍然可以看一下写法)。
A类大作文主要关注教育类和社会类(社会类中环境、政府职能话题需重点关注)。具体可参考预测的题目。
写作并非像听力一样容易捕捉题目，能够碰到考前准备好的题目的情况当少见。雅思考试的写作题目也在不断变化。而且就算雅思考试过关，出国求学也有大量的论文要写。建议考生朋友从基础提高写作能力，多仿写目标分数的文章(例如你希望得7分，那么就仿写7分的文章，不要盲目仿写8、9分的文章，掌握起来很难)，积累好的句型和词汇表达，平时注意积累一些好的观点。
