短剧 The Cat and The Bell
In a big house, there lived lots of mice. At night, they look food, such as cheese, bread, milk and so on. They have a delicious dinner.
叙述者：在一所大房子里，住着许多老鼠，每到晚上，他们都溜出来偷吃事物，像奶酪了、面包了、牛奶了，等等。这天晚上，他们又开始了一顿美餐。请看：
Mouse 1: I like cheese. Oh, it’s delicious.
老鼠 1：（大声说）我最喜欢奶酪。哦，味道真好呀！
Mouse 2: I like fruit. Apple, banana, orange, oh, I like them.
老鼠 2：（细声细语地说）我爱吃水果。苹果、香蕉、桔子，哦，我都爱吃。
Mouse 3: I like milk, how nice!
老鼠 3：（放肆地说）我爱喝牛奶，真香啊！
Cat: I’m a cat. Brave cat! I’m hungry.
猫：（神气地说）我是一直猫，一直勇敢的猫。可我现在饿了！
I want to eat. I’ll catch the mice.
我想吃东西。我得去抓老鼠了。
Mouse 1: That cat! What shall we do?
老鼠 1：（惊慌）天哪！那只猫！我们该怎么办？
Mouse 2: What shall we do ?
老鼠2：（害怕）我们该怎么办？
Mouse 3: Where is the cat?
老鼠 3：（不知所措）猫在哪？
Cat: Miaow! Miaow!
猫：（大声叫）喵！喵！
Mouse 1: Oh! The cat! Run! Run! Run!
老鼠 1：（惊慌）哦！猫！快跑啊！
Mouse 2: Let’s beat him up.
老鼠 2：（镇定）别慌！咱揍它一顿！
Mouse 3: But the cat is too big. What shall we do?
老鼠 3：（无计可施）但是猫太大了。我们该怎么办呢？
Mouse 1: Sorry. I don’t know.
老鼠 1：（沮丧地）对不起，我不知道。
Mouse 2: Oh, I have an idea. Let’s put a bell on the cat. Then we can hear the bell when the cat is coming.
老鼠 2：（兴奋地）哦，我有一个好主意。咱给猫脖子上挂个铃铛。这样，猫走来时我们能听到铃声，就能赶快逃跑了。
Mouse 1: Wow! Good idea!
老鼠1：（高兴地）哇！好主意！
Mouse 3: Yeah! Good idea!
老鼠 3：耶！好主意！
Mouse 1: Now-----Now, who’s going to put the bell on the cat?
老鼠 1：（无奈地）现在，谁去给猫带上铃铛呢？
Mouse 2: Oh! Not me. I’m afraid of cat.
老鼠 2：（推托）哦！可不是我！我害怕猫。
Mouse 3: Not me. I’m so small.
老鼠 3：（胆战心惊地）不是我！我长得太瘦小了！
Mouse 1: Me? Not me!
老鼠 1：（吃惊地）我！不是我！
Mouse 2: Too bad. Too bad.
老鼠2：(害怕地)真糟糕！真糟糕！
The cat is running here. He catches the mice.
猫朝这边跑过来了，它一下朝老鼠扑了过去。
Cat: Look! They’re having the meeting. Look at me! I’m coming! One, two there! Ha, ha, ha
猫：（得意地）看！这些老鼠还在开会呢！看着我！你们死期到了一只，两只，三只，哈哈哈！
