I just finished the book of A Long Way to Freedom by Nelson Mandela who was a great warrior in my mind. He was not so capable when he was young but he was persistent and worked hard. Of course, he studied hard and read a lot. So he graduated as a bachelor and started his career in law as a lawyer.

Meanwhile, he wasn't satisfied with the reality of suppression on the native South African people by the White people. He worked together with his colleagues to destroy the rule of the White. The journey to their freedom was really long. As a matter of fact, he was sentenced and life long "rest":"punishment in prison. Finally, he had stayed there for 27 years. Both he and his organization fought after his imprisonment. You might ask the reason why they didn't kill him but just imprison him. I shall say, there were laws and justice to some extend. If you read the book you could get the idea. Anyway you do ask a good question.<br /><br />And the society changed in South Africa partly because of his effort. The government and the president by then agreed to negotiate with him and his organization. In 1994, after three years negotiation, they reached agreement and their country became a freedom for all people regardless of their color. He was elected as the president.<br /><br />His several speeches in the book are very powerful and persuasive. It's his autobiography and very prestigious."

一位伟人，此书展现的平凡而真实，他不是神，没有太过过人的能力的，但是他说坚持的信仰能顺应时代的发展，最终很多人一起赢得了胜利。平凡而伟大。

不知道译者在翻译时或者有关部门在审定时有没有给这本自传做阉割手术，实在不行就买英文原版慢慢啃了。看过的谈谈吧~

内容是别人的传奇，和网站没关系，但这本书是正版的，我要给予表扬！

封面很喜欢，很厚一本，是正版。内容粗略看了一下，很棒的样子

思想、内容都值得品味和深思，是值得购买的书。

看完本书，不由的想起当今中国也生活着两种人：白人和有色人，与非洲的区别在于我们是同一祖先。我们的“白人”通过颁布各种法律来限制“有色人”，而我们的“有色人”没有非洲人那么勇敢。
曼德拉是个普通人，他不像我们的“伟人”那么神奇，但却获得了世界人民的爱戴。

书的纸很薄，这么厚的一本书我还没发现有什么出问题的地方，翻译的很不错。这本传记读得好漫长，却可以说一直被曼德拉的经历深深吸引着

最近对传记类丛书情有独钟，曼德拉这样的一代伟人自传类当然也不能放过~
看到这个黑色封面的版本超有味道~我在书店看过之后一直心心念念，终于买回来慢慢啃~
