内容简介 Rivers have bred the civilization of Homo sapiens, who in the process of their development caused harmsto rivers and paid prices for such deeds. For a long periodof time, the Yellow River has been suffering from suchproblems as ever-deteriorating sedimentation andshrinkage of the main channel, pressing situation of"secondary hanging river", aggravating water pollution, and increasing contradiction between supply anddemand of water resources, all of which withoutexception reflect the subsistence crisis of the YellowRiver. Therefore, the author advocates that maintainingthe healthy life of the Yellow River be the ultimate goalof the Yellow River harnessing, based on which the fiverharnessing system of"1493"is set up; furthermore, theauthor elaborates on the modes of water and sedimentregulation, the control, utilization and modeling of flood, the "three lines of defense" for control of coarsesediment, the establishment of water and sedimentregulation system as well as the strategies fordownstream channel harnessing of the YelLow River.
作者简介 Li Guoying, Professor,Commissioner of the YellowRiver Conservancy Commission。
